Public benefit and community purpose
Mind 'N' Motion CIC exists for the public benefit of women in Shipley, Bradford and surrounding communities. We aim to reduce health inequalities by improving access to heart health information, appropriate physical activity, wellbeing education and supportive community connection.
The principal beneficiaries of Mind 'N' Motion CIC are women living in Shipley, Bradford and surrounding communities — particularly those who face barriers to accessing health information and activities. The organisation is developing a programme of walking groups, physical activity sessions, heart health education, menopause and wellbeing support, and community events.
Activities will be kept free or affordable wherever funding allows. No individual will be excluded unfairly because of background, disability, ethnicity, religion or financial circumstances. Where appropriate, selected awareness events and community activities may also be open to family members, carers and the wider community.

Asset lock
As a Community Interest Company, Mind 'N' Motion CIC is subject to a statutory asset lock. The CIC's assets and any surpluses must be used to advance its community purpose rather than for private gain.
The asset lock is a legal requirement for all CICs. It means that the assets of Mind 'N' Motion CIC — including any funds received by way of grant, donation or income — are protected for community benefit. The directors cannot distribute assets to themselves or to members except in limited circumstances permitted by the CIC Regulations (such as reasonable remuneration for services provided to the organisation).
In the event of the dissolution of Mind 'N' Motion CIC, any remaining assets after the settlement of liabilities must be transferred to another asset-locked body (such as another CIC, a charity, or a body specified in the Articles of Association) rather than distributed to members or directors.

He believes that clear health information, early awareness, appropriate physical activity and supportive community programmes can help people make positive changes and feel less isolated. Mohammed supports the CIC's strategic development, operational planning, financial oversight, funding readiness and partnership-building.

Rashid Mahmood Ayub
Director
Rashid Mahmood Ayub is a founding director of Mind 'N' Motion CIC. His motivation comes from personal experience of seeing family members and friends affected by heart-related health issues and recognising the importance of awareness, prevention and community support.
He believes in helping people access practical information, encouragement and inclusive opportunities to improve their health and wellbeing. Rashid supports the CIC's governance, operational development, community engagement and programme planning.

As a newly incorporated CIC, Mind 'N' Motion CIC will prepare and file its annual accounts and CIC34 Community Interest Company Report in accordance with the applicable filing deadlines. The CIC34 report will explain how the organisation has pursued its community purpose, engaged with its stakeholders and managed its assets during the reporting period.
